Retrodelphia
FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about visiting Retrodelphia, buying vintage furniture, delivery, restoration, and special requests. If you do not see what you need here, send us a note and we will point you in the right direction.
Absolutely. If there is a specific piece, maker, style, or size you are looking for, let us know and we will keep an eye out. For rare, highly specific, or more costly pieces, a deposit may be required before we actively pursue the item. Our warehouse space is limited, so we try to make sure special acquisitions have real customer commitment behind them.
Yes. Our warehouse in Clarksboro, New Jersey also serves as our showroom. Visits are by appointment so we can give customers enough time and space to browse comfortably.
Yes. Throughout the year we host open houses and seasonal events, but you do not have to wait for an event to visit. We can usually work with you to arrange a showroom appointment at a convenient time.
Our warehouse holds a large collection of mid-century modern and other vintage furniture, and we want each visit to feel unrushed and easy to navigate. Keeping visits appointment-based helps us limit crowding, answer questions, and give each customer a better experience.
We ship to the 48 lower U.S. states. Most furniture ships by courier, while smaller items may ship by FedEx or USPS when they can be packed safely. Shipping costs and timing depend on the item, destination, route, and delivery access.
Often, yes. For select pieces offered for sale by Retrodelphia and still in our warehouse, we can arrange reupholstery through a trusted professional so the piece better suits your space. We do not accept customer-owned or outside furniture for reupholstery. This service carries an additional fee, and reupholstery can take several weeks depending on the piece, fabric availability, current schedule, and scope of the work.
When their construction allows, large pieces such as dining tables and bed frames may be partially disassembled for safer, more economical shipping. This can reduce the space they occupy in transit and help lower shipping costs. Buyers should expect to complete some reassembly after delivery when an item ships this way. We will identify any known reassembly requirement when arranging the shipment.
Yes. When multiple pieces can travel together, a combined shipping discount is available. The final rate depends on the size of the pieces, destination, delivery access, timing, and route. Contact us before or at the time of purchase so we can prepare a combined quote rather than treating every item as a completely separate shipment.
We do not accept COD payment for the furniture itself; pieces must be paid for before delivery. We may sometimes accept COD for additional delivery charges that arise after purchase, but only when arranged and approved with Retrodelphia in advance.
